I recently made a trip to Charleston, SC for a short vacation over the labor day weekend. This was personally my first visit to the city, so I was not sure what to expect. I had heard a lot of pleasant experiences from people, so I was definatly looking forward to it.

First we stopped by the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point. This was the second leg of a ship interest, after just visiting the USS North Carolina a couple weeks before.

Here are a hand full of images from the ship.

Work Is Not Always Pretty

In my spare time around the studio I shoot some pictures to play with my equipment to continue to get to know it better as well as continuing to look at light and composition. Here are a few that I took during breaks and down time.

Being work has slowed, we have the time to get to some much needed cleaning and painting to get the studio back into shape. Here are a few that I found interesting.

This is by far the largest pano I have ever made using a combined 71 images in total all added up to equal around 200 degrees of coverage. It came together nicely, much like I had expected it. It was taken inside of Triad Baptist Church in Kernersville, N.C. I tried to let Photoshop do most the work, but it quit out on me after aligning the images, and never blended them, so I had to take on this task the old fashion way through hand painted masks.
